Class Evaluation

1.)Things that I liked about this class was the life planning goals journal and the CTR card checks
2.) I did not like the student success statements.

Reflection: This quote shows me that being a CTR person will help you be the good person you want to be in the future. But if you choose to not be a CTR person you will become someone who will be forgotten and looked down upon. It’s better to be a CTR person because it introduces you to multiple paths in life that shine bright and will take you to new places with no dead ends. This quote teaches me to  be a good person and to be a 24/7 CTR person. It teaches me to try to become something great and to not get sucked down with CTW people. Also it shows us to share this to our youth and to make a great generation of CTR people and decrease the number of CTW people.

You can promote not smoking by simply not smoking and encouraging  others to do the same.

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in  the  home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.

Reflection: This quote teaches me that if there is peace in the world, then there will be order.

                                    Challenges Teens Face Today

1. Some of the challenges teenagers are facing today are: Being pressured to do drugs, being pressured to have sex, Trying to find what you want to be in the future, and trying to keep your grades up.
2. One of the major challenges I’m facing today is trying to keep my grades up and to study for my final.
3. CTR helps you overcome your challenges by helping you be focused on your tasks.
4. Other teens can help you by making you become more of a CTR person each day.

6. The greatest need teens have is the need to have friends

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May. The purpose of memorial day is that we honor men and woman who died during serving for the U.S Military. So they won't be forgotten.  Memorial Day is the last Monday of May, this year it falls on the 30th of May.

Ways to Show Honor:

1. Write a thank you note and send it overseas
2. Visit a local veterans Cemetery or a war ceremony
3. Visit and take cookies to a local Veterans Hospital 
4. Go to a Memorial Day Parade, or watch the National Memorial Day Parade
5. Enjoy Freedom by enjoying time with the family
6. Fly the Flag
7. Donate to charity that helps support our Military
8. Volunteer

A few things i would do to show honor to our fallen heros is to display the american flag outside my house. I would also write a thank you note to our soldiers that are in combat. I will also give a moment of silence for our fallen soldiers.

1. Telling the truth let’s everyone know what really happened. There’s less chance of misunderstanding confusion or conflict.
2. Telling the truth protects the innocent people from being blamed or punished.
3. Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened
4. You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than lying
5. Other people trust you more when you tell the truth
6. You have to tell (and remember)more lies to keep your story straight
7. You gain a reputation for being truthful
8. Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside

Reflection: These reasons teach me that it’s easier just to say the truth instead of lying about it. It shows me people are less likely to like you if all you do is lie to them because then they won’t trust you. It also shows me that the truth shall set you free. It shows me lies only create conflicts and tension. It shows me that the world would be more peaceful if they just told the truth.
