FINAL PART 1

         In new media some of the things that I liked about this course was that I learned new shortcuts on the computer and I now know how to type. My most favorite part of the class was when we had free time and random CTR card checks. Even though this was an interesting class there is some parts that should be changed or improved. The one thing that should be changed or improved is when we do career searches. This should be changed because instead of searching only medical based careers, we should explore the variety of careers that we should find interesting. In this class I do feel that I did my best because I would always try to upload my blogs and make them the best they can be. I am committed to be a CTR person because if I choose to not be CTR, then my life would be difficult and I would be throwing my life to the trash.

                                      IDP Showcase

    For the IDP my project was on hepatitis B and I had to work on body effects. overall the project was both easy and hard because doing the work we were supposed to do was easy but trying to put it in our powerpoint was hard. During the presentation i was calm but a little nervous because i did not have my speech cards so i had to memorize it. Even though i didn't have the cards i did good except for a little stutter but as a group we did fine.

"Always do right"-Mark Twain. This quote shows me that there is always a right thing to do. For example if you are stuck in any situation, there will always be a right thing to do. The benefits of doing right make you feel better, make others feel better, and help you become a better person.

"If we do what's right, we have no need to fear"-Evan Stephens. This quote shows me that if we do the right thing then we wont be scared of doing something bad. For example the activities that should scare you is: doing drugs or doing something illegal.

     These three questions show weather you are or not a good person. For example being a good person means people are willing to trust you, you always do your best, and always treating people with respect. A bad person is someone who says no to these questions. A bad person  is someone who cannot be trusted, someone who doesn't care about doing their best, and someone who treats people in a bad way.

"Kindness is the essence of greatness"-Joseph B Wirthlin. This quote shows me that nobody is great without being kind to others. For example you could be the best of the best but if you dont treat others with respect and kindness, then you wont be great.

                                Thanksgiving Reflection

    Last week during the vacation I spent most of my time with my cousin in my room on our phones. We didn't do much together because all we were thinking about was the turkey. But one of the things we did to pass the time was playing 2k16 on his PS4. I always chose to be the "95-96" Chicago Bulls and he always chose the "99" LA Lakers. We mostly went into overtime then I lost but it would be a fun close game.
    The only place i went to was to citadel to go look at some sneakers from the nike store and to buy some clothes. On the last day of my vacation I saw a movie called "The Gift". It was about a bullied child all grown up trying to get back at the bully who tormented his life.

"If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it"-Marcus Aurelius. This quote shows me that If I know that what I am doing is wrong, then I shouldn't do it at all. Or if I'm saying something that isn't true, then I should shut my mouth.  For example if I try to do drugs and spread false rumors to my peers and i know it's wrong, then i should stop immediately.

                                         Thanksgiving 

  Thanksgiving is a day where most families and friends come together around the table and eat. The first ever Thanksgiving was in 1621 after the pilgrims celebrated for surviving a long winter. They decided to throw a feast and to invite the native americans. Thanksgiving in the United States is celebrated on the fourth thursday of November.

"Doing what is right, fair, and honorable is more important than winning or losing."-Chick moorman. This quote shows me that cheating to win isn't really winning, it's worse than losing. For example if I don't study for a test and the teacher says the first person to get a 100% wins extra credit and i decide to cheat. I wouldn't truly win because I wasn't fair and honest. If I lose on that test it would be better because i will learn what I did wrong and I will fix it the next time.

This quote shows me that in order to be a good person in life you must have integrity. For example if I wanted to be good i would have to say no to bad things, be honest, and choose the right.

             Health science librarian

A health science librarian is someone who provides access to medical information through books. To become one you must have a 4 year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. A health science librarian makes an average of $46,666 per year.

                      Veteran’s Day

                Veteran’s Day is a public holiday held on the end of world war 1. It is to honor the US veterans and victims of all wars. It was originated from Armistice day also on November 11,1919. It is very important to celebrate veteran’s day because without the army we wouldn’t have someone to protect us. You can show honor to veteran’s day by thanking all soldiers for their support and wear the red, white, and blue.

"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:but a companion of fools shall be destroyed"-Proverbs 13:20. This quote shows me that the people around you do affect you and what will become you. For example if you decide to hang out with people who don't do anything but be bad, then you will start to become like them and be bad. But if you choose to be around the people that care for their future and want to be good then that is what you will be. A lot of people either end up bad or good because of this because the people you choose to be around greatly affect you.

"The best recreation is to do good"-William Penn. This quote shows me that if you decide to recreate yourself, being good should be involved in it. For example if a criminal wants to recreate himself,then he would want to change his flaws and replace it with good. To do good means to choose the right and never break the rules. To do good is the best recreation is the best recreation because you are basically upgrading yourself to be a better person.

"Right is right, even if everyone is against it;and wrong is wrong,even if everyone is for it."-William Penn. This quote shows me that even if everyone is doing it doesn't mean you have to do it too. For example if a group of friends decide to go out and drink but one of them says no, it doesn't matter what the other friends think because it is his decision. It also shows me that people could judge you how ever they want but you shouldn't care because they won't do anything to you.

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Collect data to analyze needs and evaluate programs

·         Create programs that encourage health and wellness

Educational Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree, public health education, and pass certified health education specialist exam

Reflection:  I would not like to become a health educator. I wouldn’t want to be one because they don’t really make a lot of money.

This quote shows that there are some goals that might take a little more time than expected and will require patience. For example if a student in the second grade decides that his goal is to go to college, then he will have to work at it but also be patient you cannot rush those type of goals. This quote also shows that for these types of goals you must be determined and reminded everyday of what you are working for.

Healthcare Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical services managers or health care executives, health care administrators manage the administrative tasks of hospitals, medical laboratories, physician practices and other health care facilities. In small offices, they may be the only administrators answering phones, filing patient records, issuing and paying bills, and processing insurance claims. Larger facilities may have enough work to assign a single task to inexperienced administrators. For example, an administrator may only handle processing patient payments. In addition, new workers may only perform tasks while under the supervision of more experienced staff.  Administrators with experience not only work independently but can initiate projects. They also manage subordinate administrative staff. They hire, train, and monitor clerks and secretaries, assign schedules and tasks, and develop goals as well as strategies for reaching those goals. They consult with department heads and medical staff on their administrative needs, takes care of maintaining and repairing their physical facilities, and represent their organizations at investor meetings or governing boards. They also handle finances, such as creating budgets, calculating and issuing patient bills, and negotiating insurance claims

Education:

To be a Healthcare administrator you’ll need a degree. The higher the degree levels the more the pay.

REFLECTION

I would not like to be a healthcare administrator because it seems as if they do more work than average doctors and get a smaller salary than them.

Having money doesn't mean that you are successful in life it only means you can buy objects. Having a good names means you are kind to others and you don't let your wealth change your personality. For example if two wealthy people die to day and one of them was good while the other one had a bad reputation, then their peers would rather choose to go to the good wealthy man's funeral.

"A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life"-Coach K. This quote shows that your actions define who you are in life. It also defines that you give yourself a name and it could be a good one or a bad one. For example someone who drinks alcohol and does drugs is setting a bad image for themselves. On the other hand someone who is responsible and does what they are told are giving people a look that they are a good person. I think i am setting a good name for myself because i have been working really hard in school and not causing problems to the teachers.

This quote shows me that you have the choice to be good or be bad in life. it also shows that so-called friends are not really your friends if they encourage you to do bad stuff. Friends are the people who help you out and make you better. For example a friend that  pressures you to do stuff that wont help you in the future is not even close to being a friend. But friends that pressure you to be better are friends.

"A CTR champion is a person who makes a great human out of himself"-Noemi Trigueros. This quote shows me that there are a lot of champions out there but a CTR champion is the most important. A CTR champion is someone who never chooses the wrong and tries to be good 24/7. Although you do not get a fancy trophy or medal but you do feel like you earned it and you are superior.

                  (ENT) Specialist

A ENT specialist is someone who deals with diagnosis and treatment of the ear, nose, and throat.  Although it may seem easy to just check those body parts, but to become one is another story. To become a ent specialist you will need a four year medical degree followed by a five year ent residency program and a bachelor’s degree. One can see that this career takes a while to get started but it does pay off in the end because the average salary of a ent specialist is $302,500 a year. I would not like to be one because I am not patient enough for this career.

    The habits I have today are in par with my dreams for tomorrow because when you wake up every morning you come up with a plan to par with the dreams you have tomorrow. For example I have been missing a couple of assignments on my geometry class but in the morning i planned to go to my teacher's room to ask for all the assignments i missed and do them once I get home. I also planned to finish them that day regardless of how much time it will take. This example relates to the quote because I have a choice to either stick with the plan and reach my goal for tomorrow or not do it and risk being grade cut from my after school program.

This quote shows me that when a person learns how to be obedient, it will help them reach their goal. Obedience is important because when you are mandated to do something that will affect you in the future and you don't know how to be obedient, it will affect you negatively in the future instead of affecting you positively. Not being obedient means you don't follow orders and your journey to reach your goal will become farther and farther until you can't even see it no more. What James means by "building blocks" he means that building block will help you be successful in life. Wen their is a stumbling block it means it will not help you and instead it will bring you back down and not help you be successful.

"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do."-Alex Linares. This quote shows me that the only good thing to do in life is to choose the right. For example a boy was asked to rob a store and instead of risking jail time he chose the right and said no.

                          Dermatologist

        A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in the treatment of skin, hair, and nails. To become one it takes a lot of years. The educational requirements a person needs to have is a bachelor’s degree, they have to attend medical school, and a dermatology residency program for 3 years. Although it takes a while to become a dermatologist it does pay off in the end. The average dermatologist gets paid about $300,000 a year. I would not like to become one because I would be impatient to become one.

"Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy."-David Bednar. This quote shows that being disobedient means you are truly unhappy and the only way to be happy is to be obedient.

                             Lawyer

                A lawyer is someone who practices or studies law, lawyers are people who you call when you are in court and need help. A lawyer’s duty is to convince and provide information proving that their defendant is innocent. In order to become a lawyer you must have a undergraduate degree and a law degree. It might seem as a lot of work but if you see how much they make you might want to be one regardless. A lawyer makes an average of $113,530 a year and $54.58 an hour. I would like to become a lawyer because it only requires intelligence and it is not a dirty job.

This quote shows me that no matter how good you are at something, it all depends on your personality. For example if someone is the best out of their team and has a bad personality then that means he is the worst.

                    Dental Assistant

                Dental assistance help the dental operator by providing more efficient dental treatment by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, and by passing instruments during the procedure. To become a dental assistant you might not need much, in order to be one you need to have a postsecondary non-degree reward. Dental assistance might not make as much as a dentist operator but they do make a good amount, the average dental assistant make about $34,500 a year. I would  like to be a dental assistant because it seems like a really good part time job.

        This quote shows that not all wealth is about money. Pathros is saying that true wealth is to be good and money is not the most important thing to have.

                A dentist is a doctor who specializes in the prevention of diseases and infections of the oral cavity. To become a dentist you must have a bachelor’s degree and must go to dental school. Dentist  are usually paid $149,310 annually. I would not like to become a dentist because I do not like poking people with sharp objects in their gums.

      This quote shows me that there is nothing right about being bad and there is no feeling good about doing something bad. For example if a student fails a test for not studying, the student will feel bad and regret not doing the right which was studying before the test.

This quote shows that there is no between good or bad it is only either you're being good or bad.

        Example: two men walked into a liquor store and one of them bought beer while the other one bought skittles. The one who bought beer looked at his friend and felt ashamed while the friend felt glad.

This quote shows that if we keep on doing the wrong things in life and not obeying, we will lose our everyday freedom. For example if someone does something illegal, then they will be punished by going to jail and losing most of their freedom.

Cardiologist

            Cardiologists are doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases or conditions of the heart or blood vessels. The educational requirements to become a cardiologist are: doctoral degree in medicine and completion of residency program in internal medicine and cardiology. I would like to become a cardiologist because the study of the heart and blood vessels are very interesting.

Psychiatrist

I would not like to be a psychiatrist because I wouldn’t find talking to people about their problems as interesting. Even though they have a high salary

 I would not want to do something I don’t like.

Optician

Opticians are the most important of the eye care team because of the direct interaction with customers. Opticians are eye care professionals who select and fit contacts and eye glasses for patients. The requirements for an optician is to have a bachelor’s degree and high school diploma with a on the job training.

Salary: $33,330 per year

Ophthalmologist

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research

Educational Requirements

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

I would like to be a ophthalmologist because it looks pretty easy for those that studied to be one. Although there are many requirements to be a ophthalmologist I would still study to pursue in this career because of the high salary.

Athletic Trainer

Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis and rehabilitation of injuries. To become a athletic trainer you must have a degree in athletic training by a accredited athletic training program and must pass Board of Certification exam. I would not like to be one because I would prefer to be an athlete with better pay.

Ambulance dispatcher

I would not like to be a acupuncturist because I would not feel comfortable putting needles in people especially because I do not have steady hands.

                                                     Audiologist

                Audiology is the science of hearing, balance and related disorders. Some of the duties and responsibilities are to identify hearing problems, evaluate hearing and prevent hearing loss. The educational requirements to become a audiologist is that you must earn a doctoral degree.

Salary: $61,000-$96,000

I would like to be an audiologist because it has a high salary and it seems simple.
